Chateau Dionne (Christmas Degustation Menu)

French Cuisine Fine Dining Christmas Eve

     Chateau Dionne, a French restaurant that was opened in September 2020 in Bukit Damansara. Reflective of its birthplace at the upscale Xuhui District of Shanghai in 2014, Chateau Dionne continues their gastronomic indulgent tales and vibrant experiences in Malaysia, on an essential foundation of modern classic French themed cuisine. There are 3 types of seating available: Counter Seating, Booth Seating or Art Gallery. If you choose either counter seating or booth seating, you will be able to interact with the chef. However, I chose to sit at the art gallery themed dining area situated on the second floor. I chose the Noel Christmas Degustation Menu Celebration Dinner (RM498++/pax).

Freshly baked artisanal sourdough and french baguette with truffle butter
Comment: Super delicious croissant and sourdough, pairs really well with my favorite truffle butter

Canapes: Pai tee with yuzu cream and ikura and choux puff with truffle cream cheese
Comment: Both are really delicious especially the choux puff with truffle cream cheese

Amuse Bouche
Comment: Appetizing and savoury.

Thon- Bluefin tuna tartare, french caviar, celeriac
Comment: Fresh and appetizing appetizer to start with, portion is pretty huge as well.

Foie Gras- Rougie Foie Gras, Figs, Grapes, Rose Apple, Spiced Wine
Comment: Taste and texture of the foie gras is perfect, cooked to perfection. However, I didn't quite like the taste of the fig.

Canadian Lobster, turkey terrine, mushroom fricassee, crustacean sauce
Comment: Goes with the crustacean sauce that is rich in flavor.

Kinmedai, saffron potato, rouille, bouillabaisse
Comment: The sauce taste similar to the lobster dish. Savoury and flavorful.

Yuzu Sorbet, Grapefruit Jelly, Limoncello
Comment: Refreshing palate cleanser

Duck breast with mashed potato and truffle
Comment: Huge and thick, tender duck breast, super filling. Love the mashed potato that is buttery, creamy and smooth.

Brie Cheese, Mascarpone, Black Truffle, Grilled Sourdough
Comment: Perfect combination, taste super good when you eat the brie cheese, black truffle and grilled sourdough together.

Chestnut Cream, Almond Choux, Coffee Chantilly
Comment: Super rich in chesnut flavor, a little sweet for me.

Petit Four

     Overall it is a satisfying meal to celebrate Christmas's Eve. Really filling and fancy. A great place to celebrate with your loved ones.
