Chateau Dionne KL (Valentine's Course Menu)

French Cuisine Fine Dining Valentine's Menu Lunch

     Chateau Dionne KL, a new French restaurant was opened in September 2020 in Bukit Damansara. Reflective of its birthplace at the upscale Xuhui District of Shanghai in 2014, Chateau Dionne continues their gastronomic indulgent tales and vibrant experiences in Malaysia, on an essential foundation of modern classic French themed cuisine. On Valentine's Day, I went for the Valentine's 5 Course Tasting Menu (RM988++/2 pax). There are 3 types of seating available: Counter Seating, Booth Seating or Art Gallery. If you choose either counter seating or booth seating, you will be able to interact with the chef. However, I chose to sit at the art gallery themed dining area situated on the second floor.

Freshly Baked Artisanal Sourdough, French Baguette & Mini Croissant with Truffle Butter
Comment: My favorite one was the mini croissant with truffle butter!

Canapes: Ikura Cutlet with Cauliflower Puree, Choux Pastry with Truffle and Cream Cheese

Amuse bouche: Onsen Egg
Comment: sweet taste with aromatic crispy parmesan and refreshing yolk.

Oursin Et Caviar- Hokkaido Uni, French Caviar, Cold Angel Hair Pasta and Truffle Yuzu
Comment: One of my favorite dish among all, loved the tasty combination of sweet uni and truffle yuzu.

Foie Gras- 'Rougie' Foie Gras Pan Seared, Mango, Strawberry, Port Wine Sauce and Hazelnut
Comment: Delicious, rich taste of foie gras paired well with the fruity, jammy flavors

Homard- Canadian Lobster, Orzo Pasta Risotto and Crustacean Foam
Comment: Fresh canadian lobster paired well with flavorful crustacean foam & risotto. It would be perfect for me without the peas.

Main: Cabillaud- Cod Fish, Brandade, Champagne Butter Sauce and French Caviar
Comment: Delectable dish with champagne butter sauce that enhanced the taste of the extremely fresh cod fish.

Ispahan- Raspberry and Lychee Tart, Rose Cream and Raspberry Sorbet
Comment: A mixture of sweet and sour flavor

Petit Four- Chocolate Truffle, Mini Canele, Citrus Madeleine and Raspberry Friands

     Overall, I was satisfied with the Valentine's course menu. Always excited to try new, delicious menu, especially with Chateau Dionne serving authentic classical French cuisine. It is a great place for dates and celebrations with good wine. Do check out their menu in the link below!
