     Although inspired by French Cuisine, Cilantro forms a unique identity with a touch of exotic Asian ingredients. All ingredients are carefully selected and measured to perfection. Also seasonal, they are served only when the time is right. The kitchen is led by Chef Takashi Kimura from Japan who had years of training at Michelin starred restaurants in France. I had the Discover 3-Course menu (RM468nett/pax)- 1 Appetizer, 1 Main Course and 1 Dessert of your choice. Check out their Menu here and be sure to reserve your table early to avoid disappointment.

Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Envol' 2010 (RM432)
Comment: Made from Grenache and Mourvedre. Full-bodied, rich, intense, structured and slightly fruity.

Brioche and Truffle Butter (Complimentary)
Comment: Love how well they paired together! Soft, crispy and flaky brioche with the super aromatic truffle butter!

Appetizer- Cold Capellini with Sea Urchin and Botanebi
Comment: Definitely one of the best cold capellini dish in town! So delicious, al dente, refreshing fresh and sweet taste of sea urchin and botanebi. Wish I could have more of it!

Appetizer- Sea Urchin with Crècy Cream and Oscietra Caviar
Comment: This is really good as well. Smooth, creamy and rich cream of carrot soup. Sea urchin taste really sweet and caviar adds elegance to this dish.

Palate cleanser (complimentary)

Main Course- Slow Roasted Lamb with Harissa and Jus
Comment: One of the best lamb dish I've ever had! Looks simple but the taste is 100% perfect! Well done! Super tender and firm texture, flavorful and tasty without the puree! Sides of vegetables is given. Strongly recommend you to order this dish!

Lobster Pot au Feu
Comment: Surprisingly, this lobster dish taste normal. Lobster is fresh but it doesn't taste sweet. Taste is quite plain. Nothing to shout about.

Japanese Peach Melba
Comment: Peaches and raspberry sauce with vanilla ice cream. Sweet and sour taste. Vanilla ice cream is quite fragrant but nothing special.

Fresh Mango with Sorbet and Passion Fruit Granité
Comment: Taste extremely sour. Not happy with my desserts at all. Complained about the presentation but cilantro feedback to me that this is the usual presentation. Didn't enjoy the desserts at all and both desserts were recommended by the waiter.

     Overall, I enjoyed the appetizer and the main course, definitely not the desserts. However, I wasn't happy with their service as they kept chasing us to finish our food ASAP as they are closing at 9pm. Desserts were served before I finish eating my main course. Most importantly, they did not inform us about the complimentary coffee/tea with petit four given. We had to gulp our wine as they kept rushing us to leave. So, I would strongly recommend you to arrive there early so that you have sufficient time to enjoy your food.
