French Cuisine French-Japanese Fine Dining

Although inspired by French Cuisine, Cilantro forms a unique identity with a touch of exotic Asian ingredients. All ingredients are carefully selected and measured to perfection. Also seasonal, they are served only when the time is right. The kitchen is led by Chef Takashi Kimura from Japan who had years of training at Michelin starred restaurants in France. I had the Wednesday Dinner Special Menu (RM348nett/pax) with free corkage for bottles of wine and champagne. Check out their Menu here and be sure to reserve your table early to avoid disappointment.

Complimentary bread platter
Comment: Their croissant is definitely one of the best ones in town. Buttery and flaky!

Cantabarian Anchovy on Toast
Comment: A pretty good starter to start with, a little salty but match well with the butter and crunchy toast.

Cold Crustaceans Royale w Sweet Prawns
Comment: First time having cold version of chawanmushi. Very smooth. Prawns taste really sweet.

Seared Scallop w Pappardelle and Seaweed
Comment: Fresh scallop but I prefer the pappardelle, al-dente and it goes so well with the umami taste of the seaweed sauce. Very good.

Palate Cleanser

Grilled Managatsuo w Light Bearnaise
Comment: Pretty good. Soft, grilled on point. However, it doesn't really wow me.

Millefeuille of Hazelnut Praline Namelaka
Comment: Delicious dessert to end the course, lightly sweet, rich chocolate.

Earl Grey Tea
