Thai Cuisine Lanna style Chiangmai

      Gai by Darren Chin is that interpretation of Thai cuisine woven through lanna and isaan heritage. Lanna cuisine is about seasonality, freshness, herbaceousness with a tinge of bitterness and finished with all things sticky rice. Also, they managed to source incredible ingredients from Thailand: a top quality ready-to-eat crab meat and an amazing fresh wild flower honeycomb gathered from the flower gardens of MaeRim.

Mama Nuanta's Crispy Chicken Skins (RM25)
Comment: Strongly recommended. Very crispy, crunchy, addicting and fragrant. You will love this.

"Wok Hei" Stir Fry White Cabbage topped with runny crab meat omelette (RM75)
Comment: Pricey vegetable dish with crab meat but I love this as well. Love how smooth and runny the omelette is, topped with generous amount of crab meat.

Papa Suwit's Slow Grilled Free Range Chicken (RM58)
Comment: Highly recommend this! Surprisingly, this is the best dish! Aromatic, flavorful, smoky, tender and perfectly grilled! Already taste superb on its own!

Southern Style Yellow Curry w chunky peeled crab meat, wild pepper leaves and fresh coconut (RM88)
Comment: Taste good at first bite but gets filling after that. Nothing much to shout about. Taste normal compared to other dishes.

Pad Kra Phao XXL w chunky peeled crab meat, mince wagyu beef, pounded chillies and holy basil (RM98)
Comment: Would prefer the usual one with pork.

Signature Deep Fried Seabass tossed w sweet-sour palm sugar sauce, lemongrass and aromatics (RM158)

Comment: Delicious, fresh and huge. Thickness of the batter is very thin, deep fried to perfection. Aromatic and packed with sweet and sour flavors.

Lady Boss Nana Signature Tom Yam Seafood w Sabah river prawns, Hokkaido scallops, jumbo shrimp, fresh crab meat, baby cuttlefish. (RM128 for 1-2pax)
Comment: Loads of fresh seafood, love the river prawns! The highlight is definitely the sour and spicy tom yam soup, one of the best tom yam soup I had in Malaysia. Really packed with flavors!

Signature Crab Fried Rice w peeled fresh crab, runny omelette and seafood nam jim sauce (RM58)
Comment: Pricey fried rice dish with crab meats. Love the ingredients but I find the fried rice slightly plain.

Jay Fai's Crab Omelette by Darren Chin (RM180)
Comment: Soft and slightly fluffy omelette packed with loads of crab meat but I find the one in Thailand taste much better. This texture is denser than usual.

Signature Fresh Coconut Jellies (RM25)
Comment: Surprisingly good! Natural sweet coconut taste, perfect light dessert to end the meal.
