Ginza Sushimasa was first opened in 2014 at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, operating independently and not managed by the hotel. Ginza direct purchase fresh and top quality selection of seafood from Tsukiji Market Japan in order to serve their guests the most authentic Japanese dining experience. The Japanese restaurant was small but cozy, there are private rooms available for guests. To get a complete Omakase experience, I always recommend my viewers to book a seat at the counter to watch the chefs at work.
The renowned Chef Hiroyuki Murakami was booked by a couple that day, so we weren't lucky to be served by him. I was there for their Omakase (Chef''s Selection) Lunch Menu (RM650/pax). This included 3 appetizers, 1 cooked dish, 7 nigiri, soup and dessert. For lunch, they are offering lunch don and lunch set as well. For lunch, the price ranging from RM120-RM1200. For dinner, the price ranging from RM400-RM1200. Omakase means you will leave everything to the hands of the chef and he will serve you the freshest ingredients available on that particular day unless you request for a particular dish upon making your reservation.

Tamago (Japanese Omelette)
Seaweed Soup
Dessert- Fruits Platter
Comment: I wished they could be more generous with the dessert/fruit platter
No doubt the ingredients served by the chefs at Ginza Sushimasa were super fresh but I didn't quite enjoy certain dishes due to my personal preference. Surprisingly, I wasn't feeling full after completing the whole course as I wasn't a big-eater. I would be more satisfied if they could be more generous with the portions with that price I was paying for. Hopefully they could add a few more dishes to satisfy their guests. You wouldn't want to leave your guests feeling half-full. Also, it would be a better dining experience if the chef could interact and introduce the dishes to his guests. The hostess wasn't really knowledgeable in describing the dishes in English. However, they were attentive in refilling tea and clearing the dishes. If you want to sit at the counter, better reserve your seats early! Check out the link below for their menu!
