Ginza Sushimasa was first opened in 2014 at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, operating independently and not managed by the hotel. Ginza direct purchase fresh and top quality selection of seafood from Toyosu Market Japan in order to serve their guests the most authentic Japanese dining experience. To get a complete Omakase experience, I always recommend my viewers to book a seat at the counter to watch the chefs at work. The kitchen is took over by a new master chef- Chef Tomokazu Fushimi. I had the Dinner Omakase (RM860++/pax).
Top Left to Bottom: Fish Ball, Fish Roe Gelatin and Tai Fish
Comment: Taste was quite bland, nothing to shout about.
Sashimi- White Fish, Grouper with Fish Liver Sauce, Surf Clam
Comment: Really fresh sashimi, my favorites are the white fish and grouper.
Bonito with Yuzu Ponzu sauce
Comment: I still prefer smoked bonito as its taste is pretty strong.
Fish with Uni
Comment: I forgot what type of fish is this but the texture is firm with sweet uni on top.
Kinki Fish (Rockfish)
Comment: Exquisite sweetness with juicy white flesh that melts.
Comment: Mild sweet taste with roe underneath
Hairy Crab Roe
Comment: Texture is firm and slightly chewy.
Shirako and Monkfish Liver from Hokkaido
Comment: Very fresh and the sauce taste perfect but still, I don't like the texture of both.
Comment: Chewy texture and delicate taste
Buri Fish (Japanese Amberjack)
Comment: Lean, firm texture and flavorful.
Botan Ebi and its roe
Comment: Super fresh with intense sweetness
Akagai (Surf Clam)
Comment: Taste slightly fishy...
Otoro (without rice)
Comment: Fatty and oily as usual, my favorite!
Uni with Ikura
Engawa (without rice)
Comment: Ginza's signature item, extremely fatty and oily, love it.
Comment: My favorite dessert which is the Japanese Melon, so sweet!
