Nippori Bistro is under the umbrella of Haraju Holdings that was once famous with its Harajucube Dessert Cafe. Currently, Nippori Bistro is the new hype in town with the obese Mona Lisa portrait. It was opened in October 2020. Haraju Holdings was established in 2015, all the restaurant and cafe are of Japanese concept from dessert to authentic Japanese cuisine. The company vision is to provide a true Japanese food culture with the local Malaysian culture and blend them well together. The interior is designed in a way that gives out a hint of British colonial residence in a classic and elegant takeover. Nippori Bistro is known for its Japanese-European concept.
Uji Matcha Latte (RM14)
Comment: Rich matcha with very mild bitter after-taste, perfect matcha beverage!
Sunset Yuzu (RM18)
Smoked Duck Pizza (RM38)- Smoked duck with sliced mushroom, cottage cheese, tomato with freshly grated, parmesan cheese and mozarella cheese
Comment: Pizza was overrated, the smoked duck cuts were too tiny and the cheese wasn't generous. The base was crispy but it could be better, it wasn't like the traditional pizza. Taste was quite plain, nothing special.
Japanese Hamburg Set (RM48)- Combo set of juicy and fluffy handmade hamburg steak (chicken) with crispy chicken karaage served with vegetables and rice
Comment: Loved the texture of hamburg that was super juicy and soft, served well with the rice, taste was acceptable. However, the chicken karaage was soggy.
Kyoto Mona Lisa Matcha Cake (RM16)
Comment: One of the best Matcha cake I've ever had! So rich and creamy, perfect level of bitterness and sweetness! Highly recommend this for matcha lovers!
The mains at Nippori Bistro were quite decent for me, certainly there is room for improvement but I was happy with their matcha drinks and dessert! Remember to make an advance booking to get a table, I booked 2 weeks in advance to get a table on the weekend!
