Sabayon is located on the highest floor of EQ KL hotel with stunning views of the Petronas Twin Towers. They serve Contemporary European dining prepared with premium imported ingredients and local Malaysian products. Elegant and dreamy high ceilings accented by copper and bronze tones are embodied by a backdrop of the ever-changing hues of the KL cityscape. Course menu options are available at the indoor dining area with a separate and al fresco menu available outdoors. I had the New Year Eve 5-Course Set Menu (RM1288/pax) that includes one bottle of Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve champagne, party poppers and accessories.

Comment: Strong and dense flavor, pretty filling but I love otoro.
Hokkaido Scallop- SunChoke Puree, Amur Caviar Beurre Blanc
Comment: Taste alright for me, scallop is fresh.
Perigord Truffle Dumpling- Consomme, Foie Gras
Comment: Light yet flavorful. Love the combination of foie gras and the broth. However, the truffle taste is really light.
Butter Poached Blue Lobster- White Asparagus Brulee, Beluga Caviar
Comment: Portion is slightly small for me. Chewy texture. Taste wise is pretty normal.
Sabayon is one of the top restaurants with the nicest view and elegant fancy ambience. Food wise, there is room for improvement. Overall, it is a nice fancy restaurant to go to for a celebration.
