Steam Era Seafood Genting

Seafood Fish Porridge

[Date Visited: April 2022]

At Steam Era, you may enjoy hot pot cuisines you love but with an innovative twist. Established since 2015, their flagship restaurant first opened its doors in Jalan Imbi. But with the growing numbers of loyal patrons, they have added another branch in Sri Petaling as well as in Genting, where customers can dine in the warm comforts amid the chilly hillsides of nature as well. Choose from an array of delectable Chefs recommendations such as Scallop Porridge with Sea Crab, Pork Trotter Vermicelli, "Hunan" Style Blooded Duck Vermicelli, and Sichuan Spicy Steam Fish. Check out the Menu here.

Crispy Tofu (RM18)
Comment: Super crispy and smooth tofu beneath the skin, but it is pretty filling.

Steam Village Chicken with Cordyceps Flower (RM58)
Comment: Super huge portion! Pretty good, light taste. It will be better if it is more savoury.

Pork Knuckle Pot (RM68)
Comment: Delicious, tender, tasty, goes really well with rice.

Handmade 3 Varieties Ball (RM38)- Squid Ball, Prawn Ball and Pork Ball
Comment: Fresh and chewy in texture. My favorite is the prawn ball and squid ball, really good.

Patin River Fish cooked in Hunan Signature Spicy Steam Fish (RM128 per fish)
Comment: Mild spicy, more to savoury. The fish is fresh, smooth and soft texture, love the fatty part.

Beijing Fried Cabbage (RM29)
Comment: Not the super oily type like the one in China. Smoked duck is served together as well.

Scallop Porridge with Pork Ribs and Pumpkin (RM28/small)
Comment: Wish the flavor could be stronger, pork taste is mild and pumpkin flavor is mild as well, not sweet enough.

You can have a satisfying yet fresh seafood here at Steam Era Genting, especially if you are bringing your family along.
