Chef Ori-san opened his own restaurant in Menara Keck Seng in the heart of KL city after leaving Sushi Oribe. Omakase and sushi lovers would have tried Chef Ori's handmade sushi as he always source the best ingredients to bring the real Japanese taste of sushi for his guests. The art of sushi are crafted with Japanese "Omotenasi" and "Takumi" techniques.

In Sushi Ori, Chef uses "Red Shari", sushi rice mixed with red vinegar which is the traditional sushi rice of the Edomae sushi (Edo-style sushi). Sushi Ori offers Lunch Menu, Dinner Menu and Takeaway Menu. We went for the Omakase Dinner Menu (RM512/pax) that comes with appetizer, sashimi, steamed egg custard, side dish, special sushi, miso soup and dessert.

No doubt I had one of the best omakase experience in Sushi Ori with their freshest ingredients and friendly, attentive service. Sushi Ori is definitely a place to go for the best sushi. Make your reservation at least 2 weeks earlier to get a counter seat as they only limited to 6 seats due to social distancing. Private rooms are available but counter-sitting makes a whole lot difference whereby you are able to watch the chef at work and the food will be served right away into your mouth.

If you are opting for Special Omakase, personally I prefer Sushi Oribe due to more varieties and the items are really special whereby you won't be able to get it elsewhere. If you are looking for a more traditional authentic omakase, you can go for Sushi Ori. Remember to book 1 month in advance and you may request for the ingredients that you like for Oribe :)
