The Han Room is part of the renowned Oriental Group, located on the 3rd floor of The Gardens Mall. This restaurant is popular for both Malaysians and tourists to enjoy a fascinating wide selection of dim sum and novel Cantonese dishes. The Han Room showcases the finest and latest dishes inspired by Chinese cuisine history with influences of current global trends and flavors. To celebrate Lunar New Year, I decided to give a try on their Chinese New Year Individual Menu (RM158/pax).

Double-Boiled Fresh Fish Maw Soup
Comment: Not bad, soup was tasty with a mild sweet taste. However, it tasted better during my previous visit.

Pan-fried Tuna with Japanese Sauce
Comment: The tuna was okay but the raw cabbage was a mistake, presentation was off in this kind of Chinese restaurant

Braised Whole Abalone with Japanese Mushroom Shunde Style
Comment: Abalone was good but the sauce was a little diluted and watery. I had better version in another Oriental Group's restaurant.

Pan-fried Iberico Pork Chop
Comment: Taste was great but it was served cold...It could definitely be better.

3 Variety Mushroom Rice

Chilled Aloe-Vera & Dried Longan with Sea Cucumber
Comment: Refreshing and satisfying dessert to end with

Honestly, I would expect better food quality from The Han Room since it is part of the Oriental Group. I had tried their food in the past, it tasted so much better. Hopefully they will get their food quality back on track the next time I visit.
